Location: Garden Shop Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens Lower Beeding West Sussex
Contract: Temporary late November to 31 December 2026
Hours: 2 hours per day 7 days per week. Shifts run 6:008:00am or 7:009:00am.
Reporting to: Retail Management Team

Role Summary

Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens is recruiting a Seasonal Retail Cleaner for our Christmas event Leonardslee Lights. The postholder will clean the shop floor entrances and glazing each morning so the retail areas are ready to open to a high standard throughout the event.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean all shop floors daily using an electric walk-behind floor cleaner (full training provided)
• Clean the automatic entrance doors and wipe down windows and glazing
• Vacuum entrance and shop rugs
• Rotate rugs as scheduled and prepare used rugs for collection by our external cleaning contractor
• Report any maintenance issues damage or equipment faults to the retail management team
• Follow all health & safety hygiene and site security procedures

Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience is preferred and experience using a floor cleaning machine would be an advantage
• Able to work early mornings reliably for the full duration of the event including weekends
• Able to work independently and to a consistently high standard
• Physically able to carry out manual tasks including pushing and manoeuvring equipment bending lifting and carrying
• Own transport is preferred due to the rural location and early start times. There is a bus route available.
