A secondary school in South Yorkshire is looking for an experienced Science Technician to join its Science Department as soon as possible.
Youll work closely with teaching staff to prepare practical lessons maintain equipment and ensure laboratories and preparation areas are safe organised and ready for use.
Current South Yorkshire school Science Technician vacancies typically focus on preparing equipment and resources maintaining laboratories and supporting effective practical teaching.
Preparing equipment and materials for practical lessons
Setting up experiments and demonstrations
Supporting Biology Chemistry and Physics
Maintaining scientific equipment and apparatus
Managing chemicals and consumables safely
Monitoring stock and assisting with orders
Keeping laboratories and prep rooms organised
Carrying out routine equipment checks
Following COSHH and school health & safety procedures
Working closely with teachers and the Head of Science
Previous secondary school Science Technician experience is essential.
Youll need good practical knowledge strong organisational skills and a genuine interest in supporting science education. Experience across Biology Chemistry and Physics would be advantageous.
