A sixth form college in Greenwich is looking for a Science Technician to support its post-16 Science provision immediately. The successful candidate will help prepare practical activities for Biology Chemistry and Physics students.

• Support post-16 practicals: Prepare equipment and materials for A-Level practical activities.

• Assist specialist teachers: Provide technical support before and during laboratory sessions.

• Prepare examination practicals: Help ensure required practical equipment is available.

• Maintain equipment: Check clean and store apparatus appropriately.

• Manage stock: Monitor chemicals consumables and laboratory resources.

• Support laboratory safety: Follow relevant procedures for preparation storage and disposal.

• Laboratory experience: Previous Science Technician or laboratory experience is desirable.

• Strong science knowledge: Comfortable supporting practical work across the sciences.

• Careful and methodical: Able to follow detailed practical instructions.

• Well organised: Can prepare materials ahead of scheduled lessons.

• Safety aware: Understands laboratory risk management.

• Independent worker: Can complete preparation tasks with limited supervision.

• Sixth form setting: Students study advanced Science courses and undertake regular practical work.

• Specialist facilities: Dedicated laboratories and preparation areas.

• Experienced staff: Work alongside specialist post-16 Science teachers.
