Science Technician Reputable School in Northampto

We are seeking a motivated and well-organised Science Technician to join the Science Department of a successful and oversubscribed school in Northamptonshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for science and strong practical skills to support teaching and learning across Biology Chemistry and Physics.

The Role

Working closely with teaching staff and the Senior Science Technician you will be responsible for:

• Preparing equipment materials and chemicals for practical science lessons

• Setting up and clearing away experiments in accordance with health and safety guidelines

• Maintaining organising and ordering stock and equipment

• Supporting practical lessons where required

• Ensuring laboratories are safe clean and compliant with current regulations

• Assisting with risk assessments and safe storage of chemicals

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a background in science (academic or practical)

• Is organised reliable and able to work independently

• Has good attention to detail and strong health & safety awareness

• Can work effectively as part of a team in a busy school environment

• Previous experience as a Science Technician is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
