ASAP Start Full-Time Monday to Friday 8:30am4:30pm MondayThursday 8:30am4:00pm Friday

A secondary school in Preston is looking for a Science Technician to join its team as soon as possible. This would suit someone who enjoys the practical side of science and is confident supporting a busy department.

Youll help prepare lessons manage equipment and resources and ensure the laboratories are ready for practical work each day.

What Youll Be Responsible For
  • Preparing equipment chemicals and materials for practical lessons.

  • Setting up experiments and demonstrations.

  • Supporting teachers with practical activities across Biology Chemistry and Physics.

  • Cleaning checking and maintaining laboratory equipment.

  • Keeping stock organised and assisting with orders

  • Ensuring chemicals and equipment are stored safely.

  • Maintaining clean and safe preparation areas.

  • Following COSHH and school health and safety procedures.

Who Were Looking For

The school is looking for someone with previous Science Technician or laboratory experience. You should have a good understanding of practical science laboratory equipment and safe working practices.

Youll need to be organised reliable and able to manage your own workload particularly when several practical lessons are taking place across the department.

Previous experience supporting GCSE practical work would be useful.
