Our client is seeking an analytical and highly methodical Science Technician to join their expanding science department from September. This is a full-time term-time-only position ideal for a practical specialist lab assistant or science graduate looking to support high-quality practical lessons in a stable educational environment.

The successful candidate will take operational responsibility for preparing chemical solutions organizing physics apparatus and laying out biology resources in strict accordance with teacher lesson requirements. You will manage the science prep room clean and calibrate delicate laboratory equipment maintain rigorous chemical inventories and assist the Head of Department in ensuring absolute compliance with CLEAPSS safety regulations and COSHH guidelines.

Experience and Qualifications
  • A degree or strong background in a core scientific field (Chemistry Physics or Biology)

  • Previous experience working in a laboratory scientific or educational prep-room setting

  • Complete familiarity with health and safety regulations in a school setting (CLEAPSS and COSHH)

  • Excellent organizational capabilities strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to team support
