Job Summary
Are you passionate about science and enjoy working in a practical environment An established secondary school in Colchester is looking for a Science Technician to join its supportive Science Faculty.
This is a great opportunity to play an important role in helping teachers deliver engaging practical lessons across Biology Chemistry and Physics.
The Role
You will be responsible for preparing practical resources maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring lessons can be delivered safely and effectively. Duties will include:
Preparing apparatus chemicals and materials for lessons.
Setting up and clearing away practical activities.
Maintaining laboratory equipment and stock levels.
Supporting teachers and students during experiments.
Ensuring safe handling and storage of chemicals.
Maintaining clean safe and well-organised laboratories.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for someone who is organised reliable and safety-conscious with either a science background or relevant practical experience. Previous school or laboratory experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
