A well-established secondary school in Dartford is seeking a reliable and technically confident Science Technician to join its busy Science Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with laboratory experience who enjoys supporting practical science and ensuring teachers and students have the resources they need for successful experiments and investigations.

• Practical Preparation: Prepare chemicals equipment apparatus and practical materials for lessons across Biology Chemistry and Physics.

• Laboratory Support: Ensure laboratories are clean organised and fully prepared before and after practical sessions.

• Technical Assistance: Support teaching staff during practical experiments demonstrations and investigations where required.

• Stock Management: Monitor scientific equipment chemicals and consumables maintaining accurate stock records and arranging replenishment.

• Health & Safety: Follow appropriate laboratory safety procedures including safe chemical storage COSHH requirements and appropriate disposal processes.

• Technical Experience: Previous laboratory science technician or relevant practical experience would be highly advantageous.

• Scientific Understanding: Good general knowledge of Biology Chemistry and Physics practical work.

• Attention to Detail: Highly organised with a careful and methodical approach to preparing experiments.

• Safety Conscious: Understands the importance of laboratory health and safety procedures.

• Team Player: Able to work effectively alongside teachers technicians and wider school staff.

• Well-Equipped Laboratories: Access to dedicated science laboratories and a broad range of practical equipment.

• Collaborative Department: Work alongside experienced Science teachers and fellow technicians.
