The successful Science Technician will provide essential technical and practical support across the Science department helping to ensure lessons experiments and demonstrations are prepared safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities will include:
Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for practical lessons
Supporting teachers with experiments demonstrations and practical activities
Maintaining cleaning and organising laboratory equipment
Ensuring laboratories and practical resources are kept safe and ready for use
Monitoring stock levels and ordering equipment and consumables when required
Following appropriate health and safety procedures
Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the Science department
The school is seeking a Science Technician who:
Has previous experience working in a laboratory school or scientific environment
Has a good understanding of laboratory health and safety procedures
Is confident handling scientific equipment and preparing practical resources
Has excellent organisational and attention-to-detail skills
Can work effectively alongside teachers and other support staff
Is reliable proactive and able to manage tasks independently
