ASAP Start Full-Time Monday to Friday 8:30am4:30pm MondayThursday 8:30am4:00pm Friday

A secondary school in Hampshire is looking for an experienced Science Technician to join its science department as soon as possible.

This is a practical hands-on position supporting teachers across Biology Chemistry and Physics and helping ensure practical lessons are fully prepared and run safely.

The Role
  • Prepare equipment chemicals and resources for practical lessons.

  • Set up and clear away experiments and demonstrations.

  • Maintain laboratory equipment and keep preparation areas organised.

  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies.

  • Support teachers during practical lessons where required.

  • Carry out routine checks and report any issues with equipment.

  • Follow COSHH and school health and safety procedures.

What Were Looking For
  • Previous experience as a Science Technician or in a relevant laboratory environment.

  • Good knowledge of practical science and laboratory equipment.

  • Understanding of safe chemical handling and COSHH.

  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.

  • Able to work independently and manage a busy workload.

  • Reliable practical and comfortable working within a school environment.

Experience supporting GCSE and A-Level practical work would be advantageous.
