A secondary school in Chester is seeking a reliable and organised Science Technician to support its science department on a full-time basis.
Youll work alongside the teaching team to prepare practical lessons maintain equipment and make sure laboratories are ready for use throughout the school day.
Prepare and organise equipment and materials for Biology Chemistry and Physics lessons.
Set up practical experiments and demonstrations.
Clear away and maintain equipment following lessons.
Keep laboratories and preparation areas clean safe and well organised.
Monitor stock and assist with ordering resources.
Support teachers with practical activities where needed.
Follow COSHH and all relevant health and safety procedures.
Previous experience as a Science Technician ideally within a secondary school.
Good understanding of laboratory equipment and practical science.
Knowledge of safe chemical handling and COSHH.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Able to prioritise tasks and work independently.
Practical dependable and confident working as part of a science department.
Experience with GCSE practical work would be beneficial.
