A secondary school in Aylesbury is seeking a dedicated Science Technician to join its practical science team.
The successful candidate will support teachers by preparing laboratories equipment materials and experiments while ensuring that all practical activities are conducted safely.
Prepare laboratories before practical lessons.
Set up experiments and demonstrations.
Prepare and organise scientific resources.
Maintain laboratory equipment.
Monitor and replenish stock.
Clean and organise laboratories and preparation rooms.
Ensure chemicals and materials are stored correctly.
Follow COSHH and school health and safety procedures.
Assist teaching staff during practical activities.
Maintain accurate records of equipment and resources.
Previous science laboratory technician or practical experience.
Strong attention to detail.
Good organisational skills.
Ability to follow technical instructions.
Awareness of laboratory health and safety.
Methodical approach to work.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
