Candidate Requirements
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Secondary Science alongside a relevant degree in Biology Chemistry Physics or a STEM discipline.
Teaching Mastery: Strong subject knowledge across core science subjects with a track record of delivering effective practical and theoretical lessons.
Classroom Management: Excellent organizational and classroom management skills creating a safe structured and focused learning environment.
Student Progress: Experience in assessing pupil progress conducting mock assessments and delivering targeted intervention sessions to raise GCSE attainment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver dynamic Biology Chemistry and Physics lessons in line with national curriculum standards and GCSE exam board specifications.
Manage practical laboratory sessions safely and effectively in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
Track student progress provide constructive feedback and lead targeted revision workshops where needed.
Contribute to departmental schemes of work and extra-curricular STEM enrichment activities clubs and science fairs.
