Candidate Requirements

  • Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE in Secondary Science alongside a relevant degree in Biology Chemistry Physics or a STEM discipline.

  • Teaching Mastery: Strong subject knowledge across core science subjects with a track record of delivering effective practical and theoretical lessons.

  • Classroom Management: Excellent organizational and classroom management skills creating a safe structured and focused learning environment.

  • Student Progress: Experience in assessing pupil progress conducting mock assessments and delivering targeted intervention sessions to raise GCSE attainment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver dynamic Biology Chemistry and Physics lessons in line with national curriculum standards and GCSE exam board specifications.

  • Manage practical laboratory sessions safely and effectively in compliance with health and safety guidelines.

  • Track student progress provide constructive feedback and lead targeted revision workshops where needed.

  • Contribute to departmental schemes of work and extra-curricular STEM enrichment activities clubs and science fairs.
