The Department & Scientific Inquiry

  1. High-Challenge STEM Instruction: Planning and delivering rigorous Science lessons across Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and potentially Key Stage 5 (A-Level / Level 3 Technical pathways) ensuring top-tier academic progress.

  2. Empirical Leadership: Leading safe organized and impactful laboratory practicals that train students in precise measurement critical observation and data deconstruction.

  3. Conceptual Breakdown: Demystifying abstract complex frameworks across biology chemistry and physicsmaking quantitative laws and structural formulas accessible to all learners.

  4. Data-Driven Progression: Utilizing the departments detailed assessment tracking systems to identify learning gaps early providing clear targeted feedback to maximize examination performance.

  5. Academic Mentorship: Acting as a professional mentor and form tutor to a cohort of students supporting their academic progress professional standards and higher-level career goals.

The Successful Candidate We are looking for a dedicated educator who is passionate about cultivating logical clarity evidence-based thinking and a genuine curiosity about the natural and physical world. Your profile should include:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) QTLS or a recognized post-16 teaching qualification alongside a strong honours degree in a recognized scientific discipline (Physics Chemistry Biology or Applied Sciences).

  • Track Record of Examination Success: Proven experience or clear capacity to secure excellent progress outcomes in terminal science examinations with a sophisticated understanding of exam board specifications.
