Job Summary

A thriving secondary school in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join its successful Science Department on a full-time basis with an ASAP start.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students through engaging Science lessons and contribute to a positive ambitious department. The role would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT with strong subject knowledge and a commitment to achieving excellent outcomes.

About the Role

The successful Science Teacher will deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 KS4 and KS5 helping students develop their scientific knowledge practical skills and ability to think critically.

You will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons

  • Teaching Science across KS3-KS5

  • Supporting students through GCSE and A Level study

  • Assessing and monitoring student progress

  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom expectations

  • Contributing to departmental planning and enrichment activities

What the School is Looking For

The school is looking for a committed Science Teacher with excellent subject knowledge and the ability to engage students of varying abilities. A specialist background in Biology Chemistry or Physics would be welcomed particularly where you can contribute confidently at KS4 and KS5.

You should be enthusiastic well organised and committed to creating a positive classroom environment.

Experience and Qualifications
  • QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Degree in Science or a related discipline

  • Strong subject knowledge

  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level

  • Ability to teach through KS5

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Commitment to student progress and achievement

Salary

The successful Science Teacher will be paid in line with the relevant teacher pay scale depending on experience and qualifications.
