An Outstanding Secondary School in Braintree is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join its highly successful Science department from September. The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons that inspire students to explore the world through scientific enquiry.

Students study Biology Chemistry and Physics through a broad and carefully sequenced curriculum that combines scientific theory with investigative practical work. At Key Stage 5 you will have the opportunity to teach your specialist discipline preparing students for A-Level examinations while developing their analytical thinking experimental skills and understanding of scientific concepts.

You will also contribute to curriculum development and the departments extensive STEM enrichment programme including science clubs competitions educational visits university partnerships and outreach projects that encourage students to pursue careers in science engineering medicine and technology.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching Science at secondary level

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently

• Strong subject knowledge in Biology Chemistry or Physics

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience teaching A-Level Science in a specialist discipline

• Experience contributing to STEM enrichment initiatives

• Ability to support intervention programmes that raise attainment

• A proven track record of delivering outstanding student outcomes
