Role Overview
An inspiring secondary school in Dudley is seeking an ambitious innovative and dedicated Science Teacher to join their thriving Science department this role you will plan and deliver practical engaging science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE Combined and Separate Sciences). Key Responsibilities
Plan deliver and assess interactive theoretical and practical Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in alignment with National Curriculum standards and GCSE exam specifications.
Maintain high standards of laboratory health and safety in strict adherence to CLEAPSS guidelines and COSHH regulations during all practical experiments.
Use formative assessment and data tracking to monitor pupil attainment implementing targeted intervention strategies to raise achievement.
Adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse pupil needs ensuring full accessibility for SEND and EAL pupils while stretching high attainers.
Work collaboratively with department colleagues and laboratory technicians to share best practices and develop innovative teaching resources.
Key Requirements
Bachelors degree in Biology Chemistry Physics or a related scientific discipline.
Recognized UK teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or QTLS.
Proven teaching experience or strong placement record in secondary Science with a solid grasp of current GCSE specifications.
Strong classroom management practical laboratory supervision and communication skills.
Legal right to work in the UK.
