A successful Girls School in Peterborough is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join its thriving Science department from September. The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering engaging lessons that develop students scientific understanding practical skills and analytical thinking.

Students study a broad curriculum across Biology Chemistry and Physics with a strong focus on experimentation scientific enquiry and applying knowledge to real-world contexts. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Science examinations while encouraging independence problem-solving and enthusiasm for STEM subjects.

You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through STEM clubs science competitions practical workshops educational visits and enrichment opportunities that extend learning beyond the classroom.

• Teach Science across KS3 KS4 and KS5

• Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Science examinations

• Plan and supervise practical investigations safely and effectively

• Assess progress and provide high-quality feedback

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching Science at secondary level

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently

• Strong subject knowledge in Biology Chemistry or Physics

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience teaching A-Level Science

• Specialism in Biology Chemistry or Physics

• Experience supporting STEM clubs or science enrichment

• A proven track record of delivering strong student outcomes
