Our client is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their school in Southend-on-Sea. The successful candidate will be passionate about Science and committed to helping students develop a strong understanding of scientific principles practical skills and the confidence to apply their knowledge.

The role will involve teaching Science across the appropriate key stages with the successful applicant expected to plan and deliver well-structured lessons that cater for students with a range of abilities. You will be encouraged to use a variety of teaching approaches practical activities and effective questioning to engage pupils and encourage curiosity.

The Science department is a collaborative environment where teachers are encouraged to share ideas and resources and contribute to the ongoing development of teaching and learning. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues while developing their own practice.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • Science Teacher with the ability to teach across the relevant key stages

  • QTS or recognised formal teaching qualification

  • Strong knowledge of Science and where appropriate a specialist subject

  • Ability to deliver engaging theoretical and practical lessons

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • Experience of assessment feedback and monitoring student progress

  • Commitment to inclusive and adaptive teaching

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Legal ability to work within the UK
