Job Summary
We require an ambitious intellectually rigorous Science Teacher to deliver high-quality biology chemistry and physics instruction across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Operating within a distinct values-driven faith environment the successful candidate will facilitate a challenging curriculum that bridges empirical scientific inquiry with deep ethical moral and pastoral development preparing pupils thoroughly for terminal GCSE public examinations and future STEM pathways.
Curriculum Design & Laboratory Instruction: Plan resource and deliver highly structured practical-led science lessons across all three disciplines ensuring pupils master scientific methodologies and complex theoretical models.
Safe Practical Execution: Coordinate and manage laboratory practicals with absolute adherence to health and safety standards (CLEAPSS guidelines) training pupils in the safe handling of chemicals glassware and specialized apparatus.
Academic Progress Monitoring: Implement systematic formative and summative assessment routines tracking student performance metrics across required practical tasks and written papers to design targeted data-led interventions.
Examination Preparation: Guide Key Stage 4 cohorts systematically through the demands of terminal GCSE Combined Science or Separate Sciences specifications maximizing progress and attainment outcomes.
Faith-Based Pastoral Care: Undertake full form tutor responsibilities actively supporting the schools Christian ethos by leading daily collective worship structured reflections and contributing to the academys distinctive pastoral care framework.
