Job Summary

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced School Social Worker Safeguarding Lead for its clients independent school based in Surrey. This is a permanent non-teaching position offering a salary of 45900 - 54060 per annum depending on experience.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced safeguarding professional with a Social Work background and previous experience working within a school or educational setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading safeguarding practice promoting child welfare and supporting a strong culture of safeguarding across the school community.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day safeguarding and child protection arrangements across the school.
  • Manage safeguarding concerns referrals and multi-agency involvement to achieve the best outcomes for children.
  • Provide expert safeguarding advice and support to staff pupils and families.
  • Liaise effectively with Childrens Social Care police health professionals and partner agencies.
  • Maintain accurate safeguarding records and ensure compliance with statutory guidance and legislation.
  • Promote a strong safeguarding culture and support the delivery of safeguarding training across the school.

What Were Looking For

  • A recognised Social Work qualification.
  • Current or previous Social Work registration.
  • Significant experience in safeguarding and child protection work with children and families.
  • Experience working within a school or educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation statutory processes thresholds and multi-agency working.
  • Excellent communication organisational and relationship-building skills.
  • A child-centred approach and commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people.
