Job Overview

Working in close partnership with the School Business Manager and senior leadership you will take overarching responsibility for facilities management health and safety compliance site security capital projects and line management of the caretaker team. This is a senior autonomous role tailored for an organized leader with a strong technical background in property or estates management.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Facilities Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day and long-term maintenance of all school buildings grounds plant rooms and fixed assets.

• Health & Safety Compliance: Act as the schools lead on statutory compliance managing fire risk assessments asbestos management plans Legionella control and COSHH logs.

• Capital Projects & Contractor Management: Procure and manage external service contracts oversee contractor performance on-site and coordinate minor building refurbishments or capital improvement projects.

• Site Security & Emergency Response: Manage advanced access control systems CCTV networks automated gates and act as the primary emergency keyholder for out-of-hours callouts.

• Team Management: Line manage mentor and schedule the site and caretaker team to ensure efficient shift patterns reactive repair coverage and pristine daily standards.

• Environmental & Sustainability Management: Monitor and optimize energy consumption waste management systems and eco-friendly initiatives across the campus.
