Job Overview
Reporting to the Estates Supervisor you will focus heavily on site security access control lock-up procedures statutory compliance checks and routine hands-on maintenance across the academys buildings and grounds.
Key Responsibilities
Site Security & Keyholding: Manage the daily opening and closing routines operate alarm and CCTV systems and conduct comprehensive perimeter security patrols.
Maintenance & Handiwork: Complete routine property repairs minor carpentry painting touch-ups and plumbing upkeep.
Compliance Monitoring: Perform and log mandatory weekly fire alarm tests legionella flushing and equipment safety checks.
Logistics & Porterage: Handle school deliveries move furniture across classrooms and prepare communal areas for school events and exams.
Weather & Waste Management: Maintain safe pedestrian walkways by gritting and clearing ice and monitor external waste and recycling zones.
Visitor Control: Supervise visiting contractors and ensure all site visitors comply with school security and safeguarding policies.
