A group of well-regarded schools in Wiltshire is looking to appoint a School Caretaker to join its Estates team on a full-time permanent basis. Working across multiple sites youll play a vital role in ensuring schools remain safe welcoming and well maintained for pupils staff and visitors.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in caretaking facilities maintenance or property services who enjoys variety and wants to make a visible impact every day.

Working alongside the Estates Lead and school teams youll support the smooth running of school sites through planned maintenance repairs and compliance activities.

Responsibilities include:

• Carrying out general maintenance and repair work

• Completing basic plumbing decorating and DIY tasks

• Responding quickly to reactive maintenance issues

• Opening securing and monitoring school buildings

• Completing routine health and safety inspections

• Working alongside external contractors on planned works

• Supporting compliance and estates improvement projects

• Providing cover across other schools when required

Youll be practical reliable organised and confident working independently while also enjoying being part of a collaborative team.

Previous school experience is beneficial but certainly not essential.
