A welcoming primary school in Reading is seeking an experienced School Business Manager to join its leadership team on a full-time permanent basis from October 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a central role in the day-to-day and strategic management of a friendly school community. Working closely with the Headteacher and Governors youll ensure the schools finances operations and support services run efficiently allowing teachers to focus on delivering an outstanding education.

Youll oversee the schools business operations while supporting its long-term development and continued success.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading financial planning budgeting and monitoring

• Managing HR administration and recruitment processes

• Overseeing premises facilities and health & safety

• Managing procurement and supplier contracts

• Ensuring compliance with financial and statutory requirements

• Leading administrative and support staff

• Supporting the Headteacher with operational planning
