The successful School Administrator will provide essential administrative support across the school working closely with teaching staff senior leaders parents and external contacts.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing general school administration and maintaining accurate records.
Responding to telephone calls emails and face-to-face enquiries professionally.
Supporting the organisation of school meetings events and appointments.
Maintaining pupil information and ensuring records are kept up to date.
Preparing letters reports spreadsheets and other school documentation.
Supporting admissions and pupil registration processes where required.
Assisting staff with administrative tasks and coordinating information across departments.
Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with sensitive pupil family and staff information.
Assisting with attendance monitoring and following up unexplained absences.
Supporting communication between the school parents and external organisations.
Maintaining filing systems and ensuring documentation is accessible and accurately recorded.
Providing administrative assistance to members of the Senior Leadership Team.
Helping the wider office team during particularly busy periods.
The role would suit someone who is calm approachable and able to prioritise effectively.
The school is looking for someone who has:
Previous administrative experience ideally within a school or education setting.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication.
A professional and approachable manner.
Good IT skills including confidence using Microsoft Office.
Excellent attention to detail.
The ability to maintain accurate records.
The confidence to communicate with pupils parents and staff.
The ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
A proactive approach and willingness to take responsibility.
The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team.
Experience using school management information systems would be advantageous although training can be provided for the right candidate.
