Job Summary
A successful secondary school in Birmingham is seeking an experienced School Business Manager to join its leadership team on a full-time permanent basis from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key strategic role in the management of a busy and ambitious school. Working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team youll oversee the schools business operations ensuring financial stability operational excellence and an outstanding environment for students and staff.
As School Business Manager youll lead the schools non-teaching operations while contributing to its long-term strategic vision.
Responsibilities include:
Leading financial planning budgeting and monitoring
Managing HR recruitment and personnel processes
Overseeing premises facilities and health & safety
Managing contracts procurement and external suppliers
Supporting compliance governance and statutory requirements
Leading support staff and administrative teams
Advising senior leaders on operational strategy
