Role Purpose
The Sample Assistant is responsible for the end-to-end sample management process throughout the studio workflow. The role involves checking in and checking out all products to be shot while ensuring every sample movement is accurately logged. This position serves as a critical link in the production chain ensuring garments are organised prepped and returned efficiently to support high-volume studio operations.
Role Responsibilities:
Sample Management & Workflow
- Unpack all incoming products for shooting prioritising urgent styles and notifying relevant teams immediately upon receipt.
- Manage the checkout process to return products to their respective departments within a short timeframe.
- Ensure all samples are logged correctly on brand shoot handover sheets and priority decks.
- Prepare shoot rails for the set and take responsibility for the post-shoot handover to the retouching team.
- Pull weekly data to track timelines from the moment a sample is received to the final imagery being dropped into the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
Studio & Campaign Support
- Work as a team to keep the studio tidy ensuring all sample areas and walkways remain clear and safe.
- Assist with the packing for both international and national campaign shoots.
- Support studio operations by handling expenses booking couriers and ordering model lunches at the Premier Park studio.
- Maintain a strong awareness of all live campaign and trend shoots.
Collaboration & Communication
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
- Ensure all day-to-day emails and queries are answered promptly typically within 24 hours.
- Provide administrative support for the wider shoot process as requested by stakeholders.
Technical Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word with the ability to create decks.
- A thorough approach to ensure all tracking and administrative tasks are completed with high accuracy.
- A flexible attitude and the ability to respond quickly to changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with the studio and brand teams.
- The ability to work with autonomy and use initiative to solve problems.
