Overview
NXT Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established and family-run business within the agricultural sector to recruit a Sales Coordinator & Finance Assistant.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional or commercially minded administrator to join a successful business in a varied and important role. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day sales coordination function while also providing key support across finance operations.

Working closely with the wider team this role will involve customer and sales administration alongside financial responsibilities offering the opportunity to become a key part of the business and contribute across multiple areas.

This position would suit someone who enjoys variety takes ownership of their workload and is looking for a role where they can develop and make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate sales administration activities supporting customers and internal teams
  • Process sales orders manage customer records and ensure accurate information is maintained
  • Support customer queries and provide a high level of service
  • Assist with sales reporting tracking and internal administration
  • Manage purchase ledger processes including invoice processing payment runs and supplier statement reconciliations
  • Complete bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
  • Process sales ledger receipts and support customer account reconciliations
  • Manage credit card petty cash and expenses reconciliation
  • Prepare balance sheet and nominal ledger journals
  • Support stock valuation analysis and adjustments
  • Assist with department and depot performance reporting
  • Support management accounts processes ensuring financial information is accurate and up to date
  • Complete monthly prepayments accruals and provision calculations
  • Manage finance portals including reconciliation and processing of high-value transactions
  • Support payroll reporting and payroll journal processing
  • Assist with cashflow reporting and monitoring
  • Support year-end preparation and liaise with auditors when required
  • Provide general finance administration and support the wider business as required

Requirements
  • Previous experience within a finance accounts or commercial administration role
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes and financial procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident communication skills with customers suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting different areas of the business
  • Hardworking reliable and able to work well under pressure

Desirable Skills
  • AAT qualified part qualified or qualified by experience
  • Experience within purchase ledger sales ledger and management accounts
  • Experience using accounting software and finance systems
  • Previous experience within an agricultural automotive manufacturing or
  • commercial environment
  • Interest in developing within a wider commercial finance role
