The Toddler Room is a key stage in a childs early development where confidence communication and independence begin to flourish.

This Good Ofsted-rated nursery is a well-established busy setting offering a modern and spacious environment designed to support high-quality early years practice. As Toddler Room Leader you will take responsibility for leading the room on a day-to-day basis ensuring a consistent high standard of care and education. You will guide your team in delivering engaging age-appropriate activities while maintaining a calm supportive and well-organised environment where toddlers can thrive and develop at their own pace.

What Were Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience as a Room Leader Senior Nursery Practitioner or within a similar senior early years position.
• Experience working with toddlers would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Excellent knowledge of safeguarding and child protection requirements.
• Confidence leading motivating and supporting a busy room team.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• An enthusiastic caring and hands-on approach.

Your Role

• Lead the day-to-day running of the Toddler Room and ensure consistently high standards of care and education.
• Support motivate and develop practitioners within your team.
• Plan varied activities that encourage toddlers curiosity communication independence and development.
• Create an engaging environment where children can explore their interests through play.
• Observe and assess childrens progress using their individual interests to inform future learning opportunities.
• Build positive relationships with children and their families.
• Work closely with the wider nursery and management teams to maintain high standards across the setting.
• Ensure safeguarding health and safety and EYFS requirements are consistently followed.
