Job Summary
Motor TransportJuniorNon-Commissioned Officer.
Primary Purpose.
Support theGMSNCO in all aspects of RMR City of London motor transport management and administration.
Superiors.
The Chief of Staff/Unit Sergeant Major/GMSNCO.
Authority.
TheGMJNCOis authorised to liaise with other service and MOD establishments on matterspertaining tohis role.
Additional Responsibilities
- Work underthesupervision of theGMSNCO and Unit Chief of Staff.
- Themaintenanceand servicing and cleanliness of all vehicles.
- The security and cleanliness of the Motor Transport Yard.
- Checkingweekly transport requirementswith theCommanding Officerat the Unit Update brief.
- The allocation of unit vehicles and drivers in conjunction with training requirements and Unit outputs.
- To manage Clarity Traveller for unit transport requests and unit white fleetand book hire vehicles and coaches.
- Liaising withtheTraining office book all coaches and HGV vehicles tofacilitateunit exercises.
- Drivingdutiesand as whenrequiredinside and outside of normal working hours.
- To collate alltransportdocuments at the end of each month and hand to MT SNCO to carry out an end of month return.
- ToassisttheGMSNCO in any matters relating to MT.
- To deputise the role ofGMSNCO when absent.
- To deputise for GM SNCO for maintenance and servicing of AFCO vehicles in the Southeast of England including all associated transport paperwork to conduct end of month routines.
- To deputiseforClarity manager for all transport administration.
- Book all AFCO/NRCEE (Southeast) hire vehicle requests send out relevant vehicle documentation to be completed and collate returns for E.O.M. filling.
- Act as UnitMHE forklift operator.
- To act deputy when theGMSNCO is absent as the single POC and subject matter expert for all AFCOs intheSoutheast area.
- Deliver drivers behaviour and vehicle documentationpresentationtoall MRM LDN rankstermly.
