EduTalent are proud to be supporting a specialist residential school in Bexhill that is looking to appoint a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join their team ASAP on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive residential setting helping children and young people aged 519 with speech language and communication needs learning difficulties and associated SEND to thrive both academically and personally.
Job Description
Supporting pupils within a residential care setting during term time
Promoting independence emotional wellbeing and positive routines
Assisting with personal care and daily living activities where required
Providing a safe nurturing and supportive environment for pupils
Working collaboratively with education and residential staff teams
Supporting pupils with social emotional and behavioural needs
Following safeguarding health & safety and care procedures at all times
Working a shift rota which includes evenings and may include alternate Sundays
Requirements
Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is required
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable
Caring patient and resilient nature
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
