Description & Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute cell-based assays for drug discovery including target validation and lead optimization.
- Culture and maintain diverse cell lines and primary cells with a high degree of precision.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance therapeutic projects and ensure that research plans timelines and deliverables are met.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data presenting research plans and results to both internal teams and external collaborators.
- Innovate new cellular assay methods and contribute to a fast-paced dynamic research environment.
- Produce and interpret complicated data sets with single-cell image analysis for chemical and genetic perturbation
- Work together with the automation team to ensure smooth high-throughput screening protocols which involve the use of complicated plate handling imaging equipment and robotics.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with 5 years of relevant experience or a Masters degree with 3 years of experience in cell biology chemical biology or a related scientific field.
- Demonstrated experience in culturing deriving and maintaining various cell lines.
- Proven ability to work both collaboratively within a team and independently to meet project goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with plate-based assays and high-throughput screening.
- Willingness to work with complex automation systems.
- Familiarity with advanced techniques such as high-content imaging microscopy or molecular biology (e.g. PCR western blotting ELISA).
The expected base pay range for this position as listed above is based on a 40 hour per week schedule. Broad provides pay ranges representing its reasonable and good faith estimate of what the organization reasonably expects to pay for a position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including but not limited to relevant skills experience education qualifications and other factors permissible by law.
