The Reporting Analystis responsible forsupporting an enterprise-wide governance and reporting structure in SPT.Keyresonsibibilitiesinclude producing high-quality reports and dashboards thatprovidevaluable insights into business activitywhilstensuring that reporting is based ondata that is trusted and assured. The reporting analyst also ensures efficiency in reporting through developing andmaintainingappropriate datamodels.
The Reporting Analyst will be working in conjunction with multiple multi-disciplined PMO teams and will serve a consolidator on all governance and reporting aspects. They will provide information to the Governance & Reporting Lead to support the SPEN business interface with key stakeholders including the SPT Leadership Team.Network Policy & Regulation (NP&R)and wider SPEN functionsensuring proactive visibility of all reporting needs.
Whatyoullbe doing
As a Reporting Analyst you will create and deliver high-quality reports and dashboards thatprovidemeaningful insight into project performance progresscostsand risks. Using data from multiple sources you will analyse trendsidentifyopportunities for improvement and support informed decision-making across a diverse portfolio of projects.
You will play a key role inmaintainingeffective project governance supporting governance forums and stage-gate reviews whilemonitoringand challenging project performance against key KPIs. Working closely with project teams PMOs and portfolio stakeholders you will help improve data quality reporting accuracy and consistency across the business.
The role will involve collaborating with analysts and business functions to develop reporting solutions that support regulatory requirements and strategicobjectives. You will also help drive continuous improvement by enhancing reporting processesmaintaininggovernancestandardsand educating stakeholders on the performance impacts of project decisions and delivery outcomes.
Whatyoullbring
Educated to degree level or equivalent in commercial/business subject such as project management.
Prior experience of a governance & reporting role in a regulatory capacity PMO orotherrelated field.
Experienced in implementing and operating governance processes standard PMO tools templates and reporting standards.
PMO Practitioner qualification (such as P30 Foundation Practitioner) desirable.
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
Expertisein reporting and data analysis withproficiencyacross a variety of applications and platforms (e.g.PowerBI MS Office).
Experience in using PowerApps tools tofacilitateproject level reporting and workflows
Ability to create and develop integrated data models to feed into enterprise-wide reporting dashboards and files.
Ability to supporthigh standardsof data qualityidentifyinconsistencies and ensure accuracy and high- quality reporting with the intended audience in mind.
Ability to work with limited supervision to a set governance and cadence as set out by the Governance & Reporting Lead.
Understanding and knowledge of energy markets and the regulatory drivers affecting operation of a Transmission Network.
Excellent presentation skills particularly on simplifying complex sets of data and trend analysis with experience in dealing with internal senior management.
Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to negotiate/influence.
Ability to quickly adjust to changing priorities and requirements in a dynamic environment.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build effective working relationships and ensure alignmentacross teams tomaintainaccuratedata and consistent reporting
Experience of working in a multi-project / multi-portfolio environment with time-constrained deadlines.
Proactive nature with the ability to innovate and challenge in recognition and support of the businessmodel in which SPT isoperating.
