Job Summary

Are you an experienced heating or plumbing engineer ready to work with modern renewable systems

AtFairhiveweregrowing our renewable services and are looking for a skilled Renewable Operative to help deliver high-quality sustainable heating solutions across our homes. This isa great opportunityto develop yourexpertisein air source heat pump systems while making a genuine difference to residents comfort safety and energy efficiency.

About the role

Youllbe responsible fordelivering a full range of air source heat pump (ASHP) services across occupied and void properties including servicing repairs fault diagnosis and supporting installations.

Your role will include:

  • Servicingmaintaining and repairing air source heat pumps and domestic heating systems

  • Diagnosing faults and delivering a right-first-time cost-effective solution

  • Inspecting properties to assess and planrequiredworks

  • Recording all work accurately using a PDA system

  • Supporting both planned and reactive maintenance programmes

  • Working collaboratively with the wider heating team including supporting gas servicing whenrequired

As a key representative ofFairhiveyoullprovide a professional friendly service to residents ensuring a positive customer experience on every visit.

Youllalso take part in a call-out rota to support emergency repairs outside of normal working hours.

Whatwerelooking for

Werelooking for a skilled tradesperson with strong technical knowledge and a customer-first mindset.

Youllhave:

  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Plumbing Heating or Mechanical Installation (or equivalent)

  • ACS qualifications and Gas Safe registration

  • Experience working with domestic heating systems ideally including air source heat pumps

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability

  • Good IT skills (PDA / job systems)

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
