Job Summary

A welcoming academy in Warwickshire is seeking a Religious Education Teacher to join its Humanities faculty from September. This full-time role is ideal for a teacher who can encourage open-minded discussion of belief ethics and identity in a diverse classroom.

About the Role You will teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4 exploring world religions ethical issues and philosophical questions through enquiry-based learning. The role also involves contributing to the schools broader values and citizenship curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4

  • Prepare students for GCSE Religious Studies examinations

  • Facilitate balanced discussion of religious and ethical topics

  • Support whole-school assemblies or values-based learning

  • Assess student work and provide regular feedback

  • Contribute to Humanities department planning and resources

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level

Desirable

  • Experience teaching GCSE Religious Studies

  • Experience contributing to whole-school assemblies or PSHE

  • Interest in cross-curricular Humanities projects
