Job Description
Due to internal relocation within Sika Global we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Reliability and Maintenance Systems Manager to lead and further develop our maintenance excellence journey across the UK manufacturing network.
This strategic role will be responsible for driving the deployment and continuous improvement of a modern Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) strategy ensuring our manufacturing assets remain safe reliable efficient and cost-effective throughout their lifecycle.

About Maintenance Systems within Sika UK
Reporting within the Operations function the UK Maintenance Systems team is responsible for developing and driving maintenance and reliability strategies across our manufacturing sites. Through the optimisation of our CMMS/EAM platforms and the adoption of emerging digital maintenance technologies the team plays a key role in ensuring our assets operate safely reliably and efficiently while maximising value and minimising lifecycle costs.
Leading a team of three direct reports the Reliability and Maintenance Systems Manager provides strategic direction and technical leadership across the UK business. The role works closely with site leadership teams and engineering functions to embed reliability principles strengthen asset management practices and drive continuous improvement.
Working collaboratively across multiple sites you will champion best practice methodologies including Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA). Through these approaches you will help identify opportunities to improve asset performance optimise maintenance plans and define long-term capital investment requirements.
This position is critical to the continued development of a mature data-driven maintenance function across Sika UK. You will lead the ongoing expansion optimisation and adoption of our UK-wide CMMS platform ensuring maintenance planning inventory management reporting and analytics support operational excellence. Ultimately you will define and deliver the roadmap that enables our manufacturing sites to achieve world-class maintenance and reliability performance.
The Opportunity
This is a highly visible and influential role where you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead the development implementation and continuous improvement of Sika UKs reliability and maintenance strategy.
- Drive the adoption of digital maintenance technologies and predictive maintenance techniques to improve asset reliability and reduce lifecycle costs.
- Optimise and develop CMMS/EAM systems to enhance maintenance planning asset management and operational decision-making.
- Champion reliability-centred maintenance methodologies and asset lifecycle management best practices.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across multiple manufacturing sites to drive cultural and operational change.
- Lead coach and develop a team of maintenance systems professionals.
- Use data and analytics to identify improvement opportunities and support strategic asset investment decisions.
Qualifications :
The Competencies Required for This Role
Essential
- Proven experience implementing and leading Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) or asset reliability programmes within a manufacturing or process industry environment.
- Significant maintenance engineering experience supported by an engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrable experience of implementing optimising and developing CMMS/EAM systems; experience with Ultimo would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of asset management principles and maintenance best practices.
- Experience leading digital maintenance transformation initiatives and predictive maintenance programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder management influencing communication and change leadership skills.
- Ability to work strategically while maintaining a practical hands-on approach to problem-solving and improvement.
Desirable
- Formal training in RCM FMEA and RCFA methodologies.
- Professional certification such as:
- CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional)
- IAM Certificate or Diploma (Institute of Asset Management)
- Project Management Certification (PRINCE2 PMP or IPMA)
