Regulatory (Neighbourhoods) Lawyer

Middlesbrough Council is an ambitious Council with ambitious plans and our Regulatory Team is at the forefront of what we do in terms of tackling crime and anti-social behaviours. We are looking for a lawyer who has a desire to expand their skills and knowledge with appropriate support and supervision to support the Council achieve strategic objectives through the provision of a first class legal service.

It may be that you are newly qualified or experienced in criminal matters we are open minded in our desire to recruit. Talent is as equally important as PQE. Our aim is to recruit the right person with passion and a can-do attitude.

Ideally we are looking for a suitably qualified lawyer who will have experience in one or more of the following areas:

Licensing matters including attendance at licensing committee and sub-committees.

Prosecution matters including advocacy where necessary.

Common law matters.

Such other matters and work types as may from time to time be required.

If you have experience in one or more of these areas we would like to hear from you. We will provide support to enhance skills in and knowledge across the range of areas.
