We are hiring for our client a leading organisation within Northern Irelands energy sector for a Regulatory Analyst position based in Belfast.
This Regulatory Analyst role offers the opportunity to join a highly collaborative Commercial & Regulation team supporting major regulatory commercial and reporting activities that underpin Northern Irelands electricity network and future energy transition.
The successful Regulatory Analyst will gain exposure to regulatory frameworks price controls tariff calculations compliance activities and business-critical projects while working closely with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded and analytically strong professional who enjoys problem solving working with data and influencing key business decisions within a fast-paced and evolving environment.

The Role
Lead and support regulatory projects including price control implementation and reporting enhancements
Manage licence compliance activities and regulatory submissions
Support tariff calculation activities and wider financial sustainability initiatives
Work closely with internal teams to provide regulatory guidance and ensure compliance alignment
Engage with regulatory stakeholders including the Utility Regulator
Assist with regulatory reporting service delivery monitoring and performance analysis
Prepare business cases impact assessments and cost-benefit analysis work
Contribute to process improvement initiatives across systems and reporting
Support wider organisational and Single Electricity Market related projects
Deliver high-quality analytical outputs within strict deadlines
The Person
Degree qualified in business economics finance accountancy engineering or a related discipline
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
Advanced MS Excel and financial modelling skills
Experience developing and improving business processes
Experience preparing business cases impact assessments or financial analysis work
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Comfortable working within a fast-moving and collaborative environment
Desirable Experience
Experience within a regulated industry or energy sector
Exposure to regulatory economics policy analysis or competition law
Experience with Power BI SharePoint Lists or Power Automate
Project-based or project management experience
Financial modelling certification or additional training
