Salary: 41477.80 per annum / 22.79 per hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join our dedicated and experienced team at Leuchie providing high-quality person-centred nursing care to adults living with long-term neurological conditions.

As a Registered Nurse you will provide professional clinical nursing care to our guests supporting their individual health and wellbeing needs throughout their stay. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience in neurological care.

You will ideally have a genuine interest in neurological conditions and be committed to providing care that enables our guests to have a positive enjoyable and fulfilling experience at Leuchie.

Key responsibilities include:

• Promoting and maintaining the highest standards of clinical nursing care.
• Overseeing the day-to-day care of guests including the safe administration and management of medication.
• Planning implementing and supervising the delivery of high-quality person-centred care.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical and medical documentation.
• Promoting and respecting each guests rights to privacy dignity independence choice and control.
• Monitoring guests health and wellbeing identifying changes in condition and arranging appropriate professional input when required.
• Working collaboratively with the wider nursing care and multidisciplinary team to ensure individual care needs are met.
• Ensuring all care is delivered in accordance with Leuchie policies and procedures Care Inspectorate requirements and relevant legislation.
• Working in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code and maintaining professional standards at all times.
• Delegating and overseeing the daily workload ensuring tasks are distributed effectively and efficiently in the absence of the Charge Nurse.
• Supporting and supervising colleagues helping to maintain a positive safe and effective working environment.

We are looking for a compassionate confident and motivated nurse who is committed to delivering excellent care and who enjoys working as part of a supportive team.

You will have:

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and a valid PIN.
• The right to work in the UK.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• A professional positive and person-centred approach.
• A genuine interest in supporting people living with neurological conditions.
• The confidence and ability to supervise and support other members of the team.
• A flexible and proactive approach with a willingness to contribute to the wider life of Leuchie.
• The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.

• 41477.80 per annum / 22.79 per hour
• Every second weekend off with a 1pm finish on Friday
• Overtime available at time and a half
• 7 weeks / 35 days annual leave per year (pro rata)

Set in the beautiful East Lothian countryside Leuchie is a unique friendly and caring independent charity providing short breaks for people living with long-term neurological conditions including Multiple Sclerosis Motor Neurone Disease Stroke and Parkinsons as well as respite for their carers.

We are the only service of our kind in Scotland offering much more than a traditional care environment. Our aim is to provide our guests with a genuine holiday experience supported by our dedicated 24-hour nursing and care team.
