We are currently partnering with a growing and highly reputable residential childcare provider who are launching a brand-new childrens home in Doncaster. As part of this expansion they are seeking an experienced and committed Registered Manager to take full operational leadership of the service from inception. This is a genuine opportunity to shape and build a new home from the ground up establishing a high-quality safe and nurturing environment for young people with complex needs who require stability structure and consistent support. The Role: As Registered Manager you will hold full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Childrens Homes Quality Standards. You will lead develop and inspire a staff team embedding a strong safeguarding culture and ensuring that each young person receives tailored high-quality care that promotes positive outcomes and long-term progression. Key responsibilities include:
Overall operational leadership of the childrens home
Recruitment supervision and development of the staff team
Ensuring full compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding frameworks
Oversight of care planning risk assessments and key documentation
Managing rotas staffing levels and operational efficiency
Building and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities families and external professionals
Ensuring the home consistently delivers high standards of care and compliance
About You: This role would suit either:
An experienced Registered Manager within childrens residential care or
A strong Deputy Manager ready to step up into a Registered Manager position
You will bring:
Strong safeguarding knowledge and leadership capability
Proven experience within residential childcare settings
Solid understanding of Ofsted frameworks and inspection requirements
The ability to build and lead a stable high-performing team
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
Full UK driving licence
