Role: Registered Manager

Salary: Up to 49400 per annum

Location: KilburnDerbyshire

Contract: Fixed Term 12 Month Contract

Hours:Full time 37 hours per week Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service.

Interviews:Will take place in person on Wednesday the 12th of August 2026

A bit about the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Manager or an ambitious Deputy Manager/Team Leader ready to take the next step in their career to join our established therapeutic childrens home in Kilburn on a 12-month fixed term contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dedicated and experienced team providing stability strong leadership and high-quality care for children and young people with complex emotional and behavioral needs.

Youll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home ensuring it continues to provide a safe nurturing and therapeutic environment where children can thrive.

As Registered Manager youll inspire and support your team to achieve the very best outcomes for every child. Youll ensure the home continues to meet all regulatory requirements promotes a positive culture and embeds best practice across every aspect of care.

Youll champion this approach continually seeking opportunities to enhance the quality of care and improve outcomes for the children and young people we support.

Some key responsibilities of your role as a Registered Manager will be.

  • Lead and inspire a high performing team to deliver exceptional therapeutic care
  • Create a safe stable and nurturing home where children and younger people can thrive
  • Drive positive outcomes through high quality care planning and practice.
  • Build positive trusting relationships that help children achieve their full potential
  • Promote a culture of safeguarding well-being and continuous improvement
  • Ensure the home consistently meets and exceeds regulatory and quality standards
  • Coach develop and empower your team to provide outstanding care.
  • Work collaboratively with families professionals and partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people

Lets talk about you.

Whilst a management qualification Level 5 would be great we are open to those with experience in a management role within a residential/social care setting and we have a development programme to support your professional development.

  • Have at least two years experience in the last five years working in a role relevant to residential childcare.
  • You have at least one year of experience in an early leadership role demonstrating your ability to guide and support a team.
  • You have a strong commitment to creating an inclusive service that meets the diverse needs of children and young people.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with children/young people with complex needs who exhibit challenging and behavioural difficulties.
  • Experience of leading by example with the application of safeguarding practices and policies.
