Nursing Home Manager
Up to 70000 per year Bonus Scheme
Set amongst acres of land in a peaceful and spacious setting this Good CQC-rated nursing home provides specialist nursing and dementia care in a calm and supportive environment. The home is seeking an experienced Registered Home Manager who can provide confident visible leadership while ensuring residents receive safe compassionate and highly individualised care.
Ideally you will be a nurse-qualified Registered Manager although applications are also welcomed from experienced Registered Managers who hold a Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care. You will need proven experience as a registered care home manager along with a strong background in supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours that may challenge. You should be confident leading and developing a team while maintaining high standards of care compliance and person-centred practice.
The Experience Were Looking For
- Proven experience as a Registered Home Manager within a care home setting is essential.
- Ideally RGN or RMN qualified with an active NMC registration.
- Alternatively candidates holding a Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care Leadership and Management may be considered.
- Previous experience within a nursing home environment.
- Strong experience supporting residents who may display challenging behaviours.
- Good knowledge and experience of dementia care and complex needs.
- A strong understanding of CQC regulations inspections and quality standards.
- Experience maintaining and improving standards within a regulated care environment.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and a clear understanding of risk management.
- Ability to manage staffing budgets occupancy and operational performance.

Leading Specialist Care
- Provide visible and supportive leadership across the service.
- Maintain and build upon the homes Good CQC rating.
- Ensure residents receive high-quality person-centred nursing and dementia care.
- Support the team to understand and respond appropriately to behaviours that challenge ensuring care remains compassionate consistent and individualised.
- Oversee care planning risk assessments and clinical governance.
- Maintain excellent standards of safeguarding medication management and regulatory compliance.
- Recruit develop and retain a skilled and motivated team.
- Coach and support senior staff to strengthen leadership throughout the home.
- Monitor quality and performance implementing improvement plans where required.
- Build positive relationships with residents and their families.
- Manage budgets staffing levels and resources effectively.
- Support occupancy and the overall commercial performance of the service.
