Salary: Up to 36000.00 per year (depending on level of experience training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Registered Childrens Nurse to join their team of staff in theNursing department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

  • Deliver age-appropriate evidence-based nursing care for children across a range of clinical settings.
  • Monitor and respond to changes in condition escalate concerns and carry out clinical observations treatments and interventions safely.
  • Work in partnership with families and carers providing information reassurance and emotional support throughout the care journey.
  • Involve parents in care planning and discharge preparation recognising their role in supporting recovery and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with medical teams allied health professionals and safeguarding leads to ensure coordinated care.
  • Contribute to handovers case reviews and MDT meetings to ensure continuity and safety.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Registered Nurse (Children / Paediatrics) with valid NMC registration.
  • Experience delivering nursing care to children and young people in hospital or community settings.
  • Strong communication and family liaison skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emotionally sensitive environment.
  • Understanding of safeguarding child development and family dynamics.
