Registered Building Inspector

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Walsallto assist with the appointment of a Registered Building Inspector on a 6-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 25.05 - 31.79 per hour

Summary:

Were recruiting for an experienced Registered Building Inspector Class 2F to join Walsall Councils Building Control team on a 6-month contract. This role involves carrying out plan assessments and site inspections on domestic and commercial developments ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and dealing with dangerous structures demolitions and enforcement matters.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct Building Regulation plan assessments and site inspections up to Class 2F
• Assess residential and commercial developments for compliance
• Investigate dangerous structures and demolition notifications
• Manage enforcement and unauthorised building work cases
• Liaise with architects contractors developers and stakeholders
• Maintain accurate inspection records and reports

Essentials:

• Registered Building Inspector (RBI) Class 2F with the Building Safety Regulator or the ability to demonstrate eligibility to operate at this level.
• Significant Building Control experience within a Local Authority or Approved Inspector environment.
• Experience carrying out plan checking and site inspections on both residential and commercial projects.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations Building Act legislation dangerous structures demolitions and enforcement procedures.
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle for site visits.
