Rate of Pay: 12.84 - 16.61 per hour
Summary:
Were looking fora Refuse/Recycling Loader to join the waste and recycling collection team. The role involves collecting refuse and recycling from residential and commercial properties supporting the driver with safe vehicle operations promoting recycling and helping deliver an efficient reliable collection service while maintaining high standards of health and safety.
Responsibilities:
Collect refuse and recycling from designated properties and safely load materials onto collection vehicles.
Support the driver with reversing traffic management (banksman duties) route operations and disposal site activities.
Inspect waste for contamination report non-compliance and ensure recyclable materials are correctly sorted.
Promote recycling by providing guidance to residents and reporting operational issues spillages or missed collections.
Follow health and safety procedures wear appropriate PPE and support other collection crews when required.
Essentials:
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to undertake physically demanding work for sustained periods.
Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
Ability to identify and report vehicle defects or operational issues.
Experience operating power mechanisms or plant machinery.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Customer-focused approach with the ability to engage politely with members of the public.
Flexible reliable and committed to delivering a high-quality service.
