We have an exciting opportunity for two Recovery Motivatorsto join our team who have the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users ensuring that they acess the right intervention at the right time in a way that best meets their needs.

Location:Camden

Hours: full time 37.5 per week

Please note - Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

About the role:

  • Provide a welcoming and consistent environment inopen accessarea
  • Createlinks with local communities and work to target people affected by drugs and alcohol who are not in touch with mainstream services those isolated in communities unaware of services or who do not feel services are forthem
  • Attendteam meetings/group supervision with the aim of sharing good practice and findingsolutions
  • Meet individuals within the community to discuss their personal goalsregardingtheir recovery and to support families affected by drugs and alcohol to discuss their personal goals and supportneeds
  • Utilise existing local resources and build local community awareness signposting to relevantagencies
  • Assist the Volunteer and peer Mentor Coordinator in setting up andidentifyingspecialist advice /support and recovery opportunities.

About you:

  • Livedexperienceof drug or/and alcohol misuse
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skillsalong withgood IT skills
  • Be able to build relationships with individuals with multiple needs whilstremainingempathetic and non-judgemental towards Service Users
  • Confident in working alone as well as part of ateam
  • Canremain calm underpressure
  • Ableto travel asrequired including where public transport is notavailable
