We are now looking for a Recovery Motivator to join our Hastings servicean opportunity designed to support individuals with lived experience to take their first steps into employment while making a real difference in their community.
Where: Hastings
Part Time Hours: 15 per week
Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
This is a role built on connection and shared understanding.
As a Recovery Motivator you will be a welcoming and consistent presence within the Hastings service supporting individuals affected by drug and/or alcohol use as well as their families carers and wider support networks.
You will:
- Act as a trusted and approachable point of contact within the service
- Support individuals to access the right services and support across East Sussex
- Work alongside staff and partners to strengthen community engagement
- Promote and support service user involvement and peer-led activities
- Help plan and facilitate recovery and wellbeing groups
- Contribute to a culture that is inclusive supportive and recovery-focused
This role is about using your experience to help others feel understood supported and able to move forward.
You dont need to have done this role beforewhat matters is your motivation and lived experience.
You will be:
- Passionate about recovery and supporting others
- Compassionate empathetic and non-judgemental
- A confident communicator and able to build positive relationships
- Enthusiastic about community engagement and peer support
- Able to work flexibly and use your own initiative
Lived experience of drug and/or alcohol use is welcomed and valued in this role.
