A welcoming primary school in Watford is seeking to appoint a Reception Teacher to join its Early Years team from September. This is a full-time role within a nurturing and supportive school that values child-centred learning creativity and high-quality early education.

You will teach a Reception class delivering engaging and well-structured learning opportunities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

The role includes planning creative and play-based learning experiences that support childrens development across communication and language literacy mathematics physical development and personal social and emotional growth.

You will create a safe stimulating and inclusive classroom environment while monitoring progress and ensuring every child is supported to achieve their potential.

You will work collaboratively with teaching assistants colleagues and parents to support children during this important stage of development.

• Teach a Reception class in line with the EYFS framework

• Plan and deliver engaging play-based learning opportunities

• Support childrens academic social and emotional development

• Monitor progress and maintain accurate assessment records

• Create a safe nurturing and stimulating classroom environment

• Work collaboratively with colleagues support staff and parents

• Maintain high standards of behaviour and wellbeing

• Contribute to wider school life and Early Years development

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching within EYFS or primary education

• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Commitment to high-quality early years teaching and learning

Desirable

• Experience teaching Reception

• Knowledge of phonics and early literacy development

• Ability to contribute to wider Early Years provision
