Job Summary
At One YMCA we believe that ending homelessness requires more than providing accommodation. Through our award-winning Dynamic Pathway to Independence model we deliver person-centred support that helps individuals overcome challenges build confidence and achieve sustainable independent living.
We are looking for an organised professional and customer-focused Receptionist & Administrator to join our Housing & Communities team and play a key role in supporting residents colleagues and visitors across our housing services.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for residents visitors and external stakeholders you will provide a welcoming professional and efficient front-of-house service while supporting the day-to-day administration of our housing services.
You will be responsible for a range of administrative duties including maintaining records managing correspondence data entry diary management and processing purchase orders ensuring information is accurate confidential and up to date.
Working closely with colleagues across the service you will help ensure the smooth operation of our accommodation services while contributing to a positive and supportive environment for residents.
What Youll Do
Provide a professional and welcoming reception service.
Act as the first point of contact for residents visitors and stakeholders.
Manage telephone email and face-to-face enquiries.
Maintain accurate records databases and filing systems.
Support diary management correspondence and general administration.
Process purchase orders and other service-related documentation.
Ensure confidentiality and data protection standards are maintained.
Support the wider team in achieving service objectives and performance targets.
You will have:
Previous experience in a reception administration or customer service role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Good IT skills including Microsoft Office applications.
The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
A professional friendly and customer-focused approach.

This is a Full Time role.
Hours per week: 37.5
Working Pattern: This role operates on a rolling rota and includes weekend and Bank Holiday working to ensure continuous support for residents.

- Childcare provision in Hertfordshire
- Family support through a network of childrens and family centres covering Hertfordshire and Bedford
- Therapeutic and non-therapeutic support for male and female victims of domestic abuse and their children
- Independent sexual violence services across Bedfordshire Luton and Hertfordshire
- Domestic abuse perpetrator reform programmes across Bedfordshire
- Youth services offering emotional wellbeing support and youth club opportunities for 11-19 year olds alongside our National Airplay programme funded by the RAF Benevolent Fund
